Jasmine, a native of Greensboro, NC, started her professional journey by obtaining her BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) and BA in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2008). Jasmine moved forward to obtain her MSW in 2009 at The University of Georgia, School of Social Work and returned to obtain an Education Specialist Degree (Professional School Counseling) in 2011 from the same university.
Committed to working with individuals to define and gain personal success, Jasmine has worked within a variety of professional environments including intervening with children and adults therapeutically in community mental health agencies, working with foster care youth with The Department of Family and Children Services, and spending the last several years employed within public school systems as a School Social Worker and Counselor.
Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys spending quality time with her son, family, and friends. She balances out life's demands by going to catch the latest movie, reading, and taking sunset walks outdoors.
When asked why she does this work, Jasmine states,
"I like to think that this work chose me. Like you, life has and will continue to challenge me. Sometimes, we all measure our worth and value through the lens of our negative life experiences, as we learn to shift our perspective, we realize that there is purpose in our pain and strength despite our perceived brokenness. It is truly an honor to partner with each client on their personal journey of success and wellbeing!"
